Strengthening Futures

The Strengthening Futures Program

Strengthening Futures provides therapeutic services to youth involved in the juvenile probation system and their families.  The program is a community based program that provides in home mental health and case management services to juvenile justice involved youth and their families. Strengthening Futures utilizes an evidence based therapeutic model called Functional Family Therapy (FFT). FFT is a short term, intensive model which focuses on family stabilization and support to ensure youth can live stable, crime-free lives. This strength based program promotes the development of healthy family systems and healthy family functioning.


Criteria:Youth must be living in the home with at least 1 parent or guardian. Youth without a family unit, would not be eligible.

Referrals:This is a Probation Department funded program and referrals will come from the Probation department to the program. Referrals consist of youth and families from a wide continuum, from prevention to treatment. The program has staff that is bilingual/ bicultural and will accept referrals of bicultural youth and families.

Program Service Hours: Services are centered on youth and family needs. Appointments will be scheduled to match the availability of the youth and family.

Cost/ Fees:There is no program cost or fees.
